Over forty years ago, after becoming disillusioned with working in the aerospace industry Roger Parker formed Partech (Electronics) Limited. The Company was originally based in Hertfordshire and designed and produced a miscellaneous range of electronic products for a mixed market.

An approach from the Water Pollution Research Laboratory (WPRL) to collaborate on the design, development and production of an instrument to measure water quality paved the way into the waste water market that remains the core of the Company's business to the present day.

In 1969 Roger Parker decided he would like a lifestyle change and moved, taking the Company with him, to St Austell, Cornwall. After operating from several locations around the town the company moved into its current premises in 1988.

By then Partech was an established supplier to the water & wastewater industries and had built an excellent reputation with its customers, primarily the water utilities. The subsequent privatisation of these bodies during the late 1980's was to prove most beneficial to the Company.

During the development of the company a number of notable firsts have been achieved. In the late 1970's Partech developed the first automatic sludge blanket monitor, providing an analogue output proportional to the depth of the sludge blanket. This principal is still in use today, and has been proven to work in applications where the modern Sonar type systems also offered by Partech cannot operate. The the early 1980's the need to reduce the labour on treatment plants led to the introduction of the Turbi-Tech self cleaning sensors.

These sensors have been continually evolved into the market leading Turbi-Tech 2000 that is in production today.

After a period of ill health Roger Parker died at the end of 1999. The company directors then carried out a management buy out of the company from the estate. Partech's good name for quality products within the market continues and it is adding to its reputation by delivering a high standard of service that is perceived by its customer as among the best in the sector.

Over many years of trading the company has established a reputation for the quality of its products and levels of service it provides and enjoys a name second to none within the water industry.
