As it’s coming up to Easter, we’ve started thinking about our favourite Cornish escapes in the busy months… When lots of people are enjoying their holidays in the Cornish sunshine, sometimes we just want a quiet place to head to in the gorgeous countryside.
A firm favourite here at Partech is Kynance Cove, which offers absolutely breath-taking views of the ocean from the Lizard peninsula. With warm weather, it’s tempting to jump into the clear water for a quick dip before drying off on the grassy land above with a cool drink and a burger from the café.
If we fancy a quiet walk, we head to Nanjizal Cove, situated around a mile from the southeast of Land’s End. It’s extremely secluded and so it’s great to explore in privacy! We can even take the dog on the beach with us!
Sometimes there’s nothing better than a trip to the pub on a weekend, so we like to visit the Pandora Inn for some good food and crisp drinks. Set on the edge of Restronguet Creek, the Pandora is a building rich in history, dating back to the 13th century!
If the sun is shining and we fancy a walk along the Cornish coastline, we head to Tintagel – King Arthur country! There’s a castle too so if you want to immerse yourself in ye olde days of Cornish history, take a look!
While St Ives may be chaotically busy and crowded during the summer months, Zennor has plenty of space and gorgeous views. On the Atlantic coast, there are plenty of rocky cliffs, rugged granite and boulder-strewn moors to explore. It’s a perfectly romantic setting to take someone special too!
